That's what families are for...

You know, I have three amazing sisters. They are such generous and giving women along with thoughtful and considerate people. I have to write especially about Anna today (sorry Laura, you'll read this before she does, I'm sure).

Having a person in the family with such an extensive medical background has proved itself more invaluable than I ever thought. On countless occasions I have called Anna in a panic, whether the question be about me or about someone in my little family.

Last night we called about poor little Landon. As you see here, our little champ has developed a terrible eye infection (both eyes). It has been a rough past 24 hours, but he's been great. I called Anna who gave some wonderful counsel and has help in eliminating some of the pain and suffering.

Not much to say. It's been a rainy, cold past couple days. It's times like these a little Landon makes up for the cloudy sky.

Matt and Mallorie have officially tied the knot! The big day was on May 15th. Everything went great! It was a beatiful day! Here are some pics of the wedding:

Happy Mother's Day - Holly Day

It was just four years ago this April when I watched Holly walk down the long dark path of her apartment walkway and into the sun. As she made it out into the light I remember thinking, "Wow... she's cute." At lunch that day, I had no idea how my life would change.

I fell in love with Holly over the next few months. From her terrific sense of humor to her quick wit and from her intelligence to consideration I knew I had found the perfect girl for me.

It wasn't until this past year I recognized the best and my most favorite quality of Holly's; her sense of motherhood.

Without doubt Holly is the most compassionate, caring, loving, considerate, concerned and adorning mother for which Landon (and Diesel) could ask. She is never without thought of Landon, nor does her passion for his well being rest.

I am eternally grateful for a woman like Holly to help in raising my family.

We love you Holly / Mom!

Kris Bott & Louise Johnson

This morning Holly and I were invited to participate in the "Race for the Cure" at the Gateway. Two of my best friend's mothers battled breast cancer in their lives (their names noted in the title); both have passed on since.

In this picture to the right is Me and Landon, Aaron Johnson (Lousie Johnson's son) and Jason Bott (Kris Bott's son) and Jason's kids in the stroller.

We had a great time. The sun was out, the clouds were sparse and the ambiance was thrilling (Landon couldn't fall asleep for his morning nap after the event).

Holly, Landon and I walked the shorter distance, but had a great time talking with Jason and Meridith (his wife). There were crowds of people, music in the air and PINK everywhere you looked; a very neat experience.

I remember both Louise and Kris well and love them both for the lives they lived and the legacies they left behind. They were and are wonderful women and are loved and missed more than they could imagine. To them we wish a Happy Mother's Day and a offer our thanks for being a part of our lives.

Slow Dance

Holly forwarded this to me. It's a great poem and in response to an earlier post where I complained about not having some overwhelming manifestation of excellence when finishing school. I had a lot of other thoughts in regards to my earlier comments, but for the most part... this poem sums it up.

Donde Esta Summer???

Who is sick of this Utah weather? I am!!! Today is cloudy and windy. On Monday it was snowing!!! Come on! When is this weather going to shape up? All I can think about is the warmth of the sun on my shoulders. I am sick of being cold!!!

Speaking of warmer temperatures, I thought I would share some photos of our cruise to Mexico back in February. We had a great time!!! We visited Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta. We went with three other couples (Scott and Casey Weierman, Aaron and Lisa Johnson, Lance and Natalie Allen).
